Think About It 066: AMBROSE BIERCE

 
If a man have a broad foot, a staunch leg, a strong spine, and a talent for equilibrium, there is no good reason why he should not stand alone –– a mind that is right side up does not need to lean upon others:  it is sufficient unto itself.  The curse of our civilization is that the 'association' is become the unit, and the individual is merged in the mass.
