The Write Advice 214: VIRGINIE GRIMALDI

I thought reading and writing were solitary activities.  I was wrong: they are bridges between human beings.  When we exchange stories, you and me, we share a closeness with those who share the same emotions.  We have the impression that we know each other, that we understand each other without ever having met.  We want to grab them by the neck, tell them what we did last night, but we retain the awkwardness of our first meetings.  Words have this power.
